Visitors

WELCOME HOME to St. Mark Lutheran!

St. Mark always welcomes friends and visitors into our family, whether it's for one service, occasional services or events.

Anyone who has drifted away from God or St. Mark due to the storms in our lives, fractured relationships or other personal challenges, we ask, "How can we help you come home?" When God seems distant, we want to help you engage more in prayer, worship and study of his Word. So what does coming home look like and how do we rebuild? Call us at 798-2197, or attend a service at 9:30 am or 5 pm in the Sanctuary. We've saved a place for YOU, and we welcome you home!

Services are held at 9:30 am and 5 pm in the Sanctuary, with 5 pm services outdoors on Sundays during the summer. Changes to our regular schedule are posted on the front page of our website. Holy Communion is on the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month. Individual communion cups of wine or grape juice and wafer are offered.

The office is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 1 pm. You may call 231-798-2197 at any time and leave a message if we are not available. We will return your call as soon as possible.

In an emergency, please call Pastor Scott Faith on his cell phone, 231-557-7888.

Please fill out a blue "A Place for You" card when you visit, giving us your name and email address so we can connect with you. We promise, we will not bug you!

A nursery is located behind the Sanctuary. We ask that one of the parents or an adult child watch your child when he or she is using the nursery. A changing table and rocker are also in the nursery for your use.

Sunday morning services are recorded live and posted to Facebook weekly. You do not have to be a Facebook subscriber - just follow the link at the left of the front page of our website. The "In Action" page is available on-line.

Adult Bible Study is held on Thursdays at 10:30 am in the Fellowship Hall. Other studies will be posted on our home page.

Communion:

Holy Communion is celebrated the first, third and fifth Sundays of the month. Individual cups of wine and wafer are offered, as well as grape juice.

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper at St. Mark Lutheran in the confidence that in this feast, our Lord gives us not only bread and wine, but His very body and blood. In Communion, we receive forgiveness for our sins, a deeper relationship with Christ and with one another, and power to live a life that truly glorifies God.

Our Lord invites to His feast those who believe this, repent of their sins, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love others as He forgives and loves us. Because the Bible tells us of the serious consequences of misusing the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:17-34), we commune those who have been instructed in God’s Word and who declare their faith in these truths. We welcome our guests and ask that you direct any questions in this regard to Pastor Scott Faith.

We look forward to welcoming you home!
